Car 727 is a standard coach that was modernized in 1940 with the lower ceilings, fish-eye lights, and new seats. Car 727 is owned by the Iowa Traction Railroad, and does occasionally operate. The car has been painted in the traction orange scheme, which is the first scheme the North Shore used on these cars. Destination signs are places on the Iowa Traction.
