NTRAK Module Profile
Module: Harker's Gulch

Scale height: 185 Feet
Scale Length: 1,035 Feet
Construction Time: 100+ Hours
Built of 3,600 individual pieces

The trestle is scratch built, that is, no plans were used for the design and painting of the bridge. The water is painted water colors covered with white glue. The mountains are built of Styrofoam covered with plaster or rigid wrap (plaster-soaked gauze), Color is Water colors mixed and painted while the plaster was still wet. Most of the trees are scratch built from available palnts, kits (by Woodland Scenics), or floral decorations.

Construction of this module began in 1991.

The two transition modules provide a transition from the normal NTRAK 3-track main lines to the alternate branch configuration, and can be used anywhere in the layout as long as all modules between them and the Harker's Gulch module also have the alternate branch track.

Harker's Gulch was damaged during transport in 2004, and has been dismantled.
