The Big Eagle Railroad, formerly known as the Winifrede Railroad, is a little-photographed shortline owned by a Mining Company. The railroad operates 6 miles of track between the Kanawaha River at Chesapeake and a large mine near Winifrede, WV. The railroad has several locomotives including this SW1500 and two leased GP38-2s from Joseph Transportation.
