Remarks:    In 1897 a new locomotive, similar the the 'Fa', but fitted with a larger bunker and a trailing pony truck under the cab to give it the 0-6-2 wheel arrangement, was passed out of the Addington workshops. This became the 'Fb' class and led to the conversion of all 12 'Fa' class 0-6-0 t locomotives being altered to conform. After the conversion process had been completed, all locomotives reverted to the 'Fa' classification.
