Remarks:     When the NZR Stores Branch took over the Mountain Rimu Timber Co's mill and tramway at Mamaku, near Rotorua, it aquired this locomotive. Driven by a two-cylinder vertical steam engine in the cab, the drive was taken down through a spur gear arrangement to a longitudinal line shaft where skewed bevel gears transmitted power to each of eight axles. The locomotive could negotiate a 99-feet radius curve. In 1928 the loco was sold to the Marton Sash & Door co.
