TRACK CLEANING CAR CONTEST

This will be strictly a popularity contest.  There is no paperwork to be completed unless you want to do so.  However, it will not be reviewed as part of the contest.  If you want someone to review it, please make arrangements for this on your own.

There are very few rules. 

1.                  The Cleaning Car must be home made, not purchased.  You can, however, purchase the components such as nails, hardboard, etc.

2.                  The Cleaning Car can be any piece of rolling stock or motive car you choose.  It can be a freight car, passenger car, front end car, MOW car, engine or whatever else you think will work.  However, cabooses are discouraged as the extra weight at the end of a train may cause derailments.

3.                  The cleaning device must be designed so it will not snag going over turnouts or crossings.

4.                  The Cleaning Car must roll smoothly (although we do not expect it to freely run down a 1% grade), and have couplers mounted at the proper height.

Outside of that, you are on your own.  They will be displayed and each member in attendance will have one vote.  Prizes will be given for First, Second and Third place.
