Built in 1899 by McGuire Car Co.

This is the oldest piece of rolling stock in the OERHS collection. This car is a snow sweeper and was used as snow fighting equipment in Portland. In many cities the franchise agreements forced streetcar operators to sweep, clean, and snowplow streets. Of course the snow plowing was required to operate the lines anyway.
