This sturdy and sizeable facility certainly would have been adequate for the
few trains originating and terminating there.

Grade separation project has raised the level of the tracks.
Trains would now be on the south side lower level platform at right. Note the

NOTE: Following its closure, the city opened a farmers
market in the old station July 25, 1916 to copy the similar
St.Lawrence Market the early city hall at Queen and Jarvis Streets in downtown
Toronto.
It was not as successful and closed some time later.
