Northern Railway located its facilities including shops and an eight stall roundhouse in 1856 west of Brock Street
(Spadina Avenue) and Front Street West. The passenger station was opened January 7, 1861 prior to which trains used a union station at Front and York Streets from June 21, 1858 until 1861 after leaving the original OS&H 1853 station at Bay and Front Streets. Circa 1865. Toronto Public Library
