30, became first unit equipped with remote control, 1988. Many units had dual controls. Note the re-located headlights.
Originally built as 470 hp units, they were later re-engined with Cummins diesels rated at 550 hp.

This unit was transferred in 1978 to Algoma Steel, Tube Division, GE #30967 5/51 Wayne Brittain

Note air tanks. Units 30, 31, 37, 38, 41 and 42 were equipped with 72 cfm air compressors and 60,000 cu.in. reservoirs.
