Formerly, AbitibiBowater a merger January 29, 2007 of Bowater, Inc and Abitibi-Consolidated.
Renamed November 7, 2011 following bankruptcy protection April 16, 2009-December 9, 2010.
Note: December 5, 2014 announced permanent closure of entire plant December 22, 2014 affecting about
180 jobs. At its peak the mill employed about 1500 men and shipped 48 box cars of newsprint daily.

Fresh out of the DES shop is ex Resolute Forest Products 1600 on its way back to Iroquois Falls.

DESX 1305 (below) transferred 2016 to Resolute in Thorold South.
