Note: Bridge restriction over the Fraser River immediately north of Lillooet yard required engines to be spaced apart.

PGE 51 one of two 2-8-0's built by Montreal Locomotive Works. #53709 10/13
51 and 52 were the only MLW engines built for PGE, all later ones were built by CLC.
They were the biggest power on the developing railway followed by four more powerful 2-8-0's the next year.
