Effective November 20, 1998 leased 94 miles of CPR Okanagan Subdivision.

Route operated:
Sicamous - Armstrong - Vernon, BC (46.3 miles)
Vernon - Lumby Jct - Kelowna, BC (33.4 miles) (via trackage rights on KPR)
Lumby Jct - Lumby, BC (14.4 miles) (via trackage rights on KPR)
(Kelowna Pacific also has trackage rights over OKAN from Armstrong to Vernon)

Note: Loss of a major customer (c.50% traffic) Owens Illinois in Lavington which closed its glass container plant
(only one in the West) October 31, 2008 resulted in closure of the line effective September 21, 2009.

All of OKAN's power in one consist led by 3550 trailing 2506 and 1006. Vernon 9/22/2007 Connor Park

1006 lettered for Central Kansas with Carlton Trail logo. Reporting marks (initials) have been painted over.
This is a potential safety hazard being correctly identified by other movements.
