Old Time Trains


Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Line

The Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Line was created to jointly own the rolling stock used for passenger trains operated between Toronto and Buffalo, New York. The lines used were owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway, 40.25 miles between Bathurst Street Toronto and Hamilton Junction; Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo, 37.57 miles between Hamilton and Welland; New York Central, 25.23 miles between Welland and Buffalo; a total of 103.05 miles. Ownership of equipment was divided up as CPR 36.04 per cent, TH&B 34.23%, and NYC 29.73 %. Locomotives were owned by each of the three railways and their mileage was shared CPR 39.06%, TH&B 36.46% and NYC 24.48%.
