Cannibalizing former SOO 738 SD40 Retired 9-27-04

Engine and Main Generator are being removed for 5396.

Not much left!

Still in CN paint 5396 needs lots of work. Retired by CPR 12/11/03. ex CN 5396 nee CP 5784 GMD SD40-2 A3530 3/78
This was one of a number of units originally owned by Ontario Hydro (although painted CP) for unit coal trains in Western Canada to Thunder Bay for transloading onto ships for final delivery to various Ontario Hydro generating stations. When traffic was turned over to CNR the units went to them as did the hopper cars. Eventually, CP reacquired most of the units from CN. Note: These units owned by Power Source (D)
