16 and 17 were two 2-8-0's built for Roberval Saguenay long
after other railways had turned to 2-8-2's,
these modern looking engines were equipped with vestibule cabs and stoker.
They were the last domestic 2-8-0's built in North America.
17 survived dieselization and later operated hauled freight and tourist
trains on the Crab Orchard & Eastern
in the US for a few years before again being retired. During which time it
lost its stoker, vestibule cab,
feedwater heater, and superheating. It is on display in Boone, Iowa, September
6-2004. CLC #1959 1/40
