2003 was a most incredible year as "Bringing History to Life" took on a whole new meaning with
ETR 9 roaming far from St.Thomas much to the delight of thousands of people many of whom
had never seen a real steam locomotive working.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime event when a steam train operated on the CPR after decades of desert came this
oasis. The Town of Ingersoll was instrumental in bringing this about and the CPR co-operated because of their
involvement. The Canterbury Folk Festival being a long-time annual event in Ingersoll.
