'Northlander' Chase

The Great Chase of O.N. 697/698

August 27, 2006. It started out simple enough. A planned day of railfanning. It was decided to head north up highway 11 to Washago to chase the train to Huntsville. With scanners and cameras, and a tank full of gas we give it a go. We knew 1805 was on 697, but were clueless as to 698. Hoping for 1806 or 1808, 1809 comes into the LCD screen. We decided that a 'rigorous' chase isn't necessary, so we catch it again in Washago. Click on the links below to see the photos in succession.
