Chicago & Northwestern System

By Dick Sturm

Dick Sturm’s layout represents Union Pacific’s operations on C&NW trackage from Chicago, Illinois to Cheyenne, WY. Chicago and Cheyenne are represented by two freight yards on each end of the layout. Intermediate locations on the layout are North Platte and Proviso, which provide many industries and shipping operations. Following the tradition of C&NW, all trains travel on a left-hand rule [left most track].
