This is a view of the GTW serving the Grand Rapids Press shortly before the Central Michigan Railway took over the Durand to Muskegon line in 1987. At the time, the Grand Rapids Press was one of the major customers on this line, receiving newsprint rolls into its facility in downtown Grand Rapids. As of today, this service has come to an end due to the re-development of downtown Grand Rapids.
