Railroad operations
on the Delmarva Peninsula are very seldom mentioned or acknowledged in
any publication. This
site is designed to educate those unfamiliar with the area enough so that
they can understand
what should be where, and at what time. For a brilliantly detailed historical
background, visit the
Hobo's Guide to the Delmarva
Branch.
There are a few railroads
on the shore, with a single Class One, and three shortlines. All
of these
railroads are covered
on the site, while Norfolk Southern is the main feature do to their sheer
volume of trackage on the peninsula.
