Railfan Pictures of the Day - 12/29/2003

Twelve hours difference - December 29 2003

At 1:00 AM, C746 with Dark Future G40-2 6389 leading CEFX 3130 and a string of cars waits at Lansdale Station for the run back to Philadelphia via the Stony Creek Branch (due to high cars in consist)

You can see where the classification lights on the nose have been filled in.
CEFX SD40-2 3130 makes its second trip to Lansdale in a week.
The flared radiators hint of its body's SD45 origins. The Scotchlite frame and nose striping preclude the use of flash on these units.

Meanwhile, exactly 12 hours later, SEPTA 50 brings the Bomber set from Warminster into town. Oddly enough, this seems to have become a Christmas time tradition, as last December 27 SEPTA 51 made the same run, albeit nose first, into the city.
