SEPTA Main Line and CSX Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA August 1 2008

In the grasslands of Lansdale Station, the wire train pauses next to the last two cars of Train 524, which will become Train 4253.
The wire train makes its way south out of Lansdale, crossing Broad Street as its black exhaust trails away.
Snaking its way through Dale Interlocking using the new switch ...
to get to the out of service area on Track 2 so they can belatedly start their work.
With the increasing price of oil, it looks like SEPTA and CSX have decided save money and forgo the regular weed spraying, or maybe it was a decision to "go green".
Last year, the layoff track was removed, and already Mother Nature has reclaimed the land.
