Do not attempt to adjust your monitor. We are controlling the video (actually stills, but go with it). We can make the colors stand out so that they assault all your senses like a summertime CSX trash train powered by every leased unit under the rainbow (bet you often wondered what a rainbow smelled like.... well, that ain't it!), or we can mute them to the point that everything looks like NS on a cloudy day (harsh but fair). We can make them fuzzy and jittery like they were taken by a five year old with a point and shoot 110 camera (age check - do you remember them?), or sharpen them to crystal clarity enough that even the most finicky (or choose your own alternate more pejorative term) railfan can count the rivets on a side sheet.
