Railfan Pictures of the Week - 11/23/2003

CSX Trenton Line Langhorne and Oxford Valley PA November 21 2003
Q172 was up at CP Woodbourne waiting for a northbound MU as Q300 with a pair of BNSF SD70MAC's approached Langhorne.

Didn't get a good head on shot because the signal was red over red, so assumed they would be stopping and thought I would have more time. Must have missed NI talking them by.

SEPTA was single tracking between CP Wood and CP Trent, with the wire train pulling south on Track 2.
Fortunately the wire train cleared the crossing at Heacock Road in time for Q300 on Track 1.
As it turned out, just as Q300 approached the wire train, it too decided to head north.
After Q300 cleared CP Trent, SEPTA let Q175 head south ahead of the southbound MU. The standard cab SD60 is unusual for this train.
Q418 with a pair of CW40-8's arrived at CP Fairless Jct at 15:00 where it would enter Woodbourne Yard to work. Just a few months ago Q364 was extended to Selkirk with work at Woodbourne, but that was replaced by Q346, but now evidently either Q346 or Q418 can stop there. Q418 did stop at Woodbourne for a time a year or so ago, taking over work done by Q301, which handled the traffic for a few years.
