SEPTA West Trenton Line Neshaminy Falls PA September 23 2005

After working most of the last two years from Woodboune to Trent, SEPTA is now stringing new wire on Track 1 from Neshaminy Falls to Woodbourne. Here the wire train is feeding wire to a bucket truck that is pulling it north.
Power for the wire train is newly rebuilt RL1A 60. It has been reported that its sister, RL1A 61, had been laid up for a few months due to a compressor failure, but it has since been repaired. It has also been reported that the last unrebuilt switcher, SW1200 52, will not be sent to Brookville for rebuilding, which is interesting considering that when it took some equipment to the West Chester Railroad in April 2005 (here, here and here), it could barely make 15 MPH.
Interesting placement of the horns just behind the cab.
On the other end of the train, under the Route 1 overpass, was the camp car SPAX 601.
