Conrail Abrams Yard Upper Merion PA October 1994
Conrail CE16B covered hopper CR 886204. The E denotes an Erie Lackawanna heritage.
Conrail H54 covered hopper CR 889668 with Conrail Quality logo. Conrail retained the PRR/PC classification of H for covered hoppers on the former equipment of those railroads, just as it retained the Lot Number classification for former NYC cars. The other railroads that made up Conrail were reflected in the second letter of the classification, such as CE for an Erie Lackawanna covered hopper or CR for a Reading covered hopper.
Conrail H51C covered hopper CR 887468.
Conrail CE16 covered hopper CR 886104, the former EL 20116.
Down in Greenwich Yard in South Philadelphia, Conrail H40 covered hopper CR 875117, the former PRR 260456. Just above the shaker pad on the left and below the 17 is the AAR designation for all covered hoppers, LO.
