Railfan Pictures of the Week - 9/4/2016

SEPTA Lansdale Parking Garage Project Lansdale PA June 2016

Part Ten of a series on the SEPTA Lansdale Parking Garage Project

The first week of June featured a pivot from the main structure to the tower on the south end that will eventually house the elevators and connect to the bridge over the Bethlehem Branch.
On the Madison side, the parts for the bridge have started arriving and are being assembled.
Within ten days, the tower is up, work with the big crane has shifted back to the main structure.
The portion of the bridge over the track is here, being painted ...
while the other half over the parking lot was being put together at the site.
On the morning of Saturday June 18 2016, the track sections of the bridge were trucked over to the garage site and positioned for placement during the work week.
By that afternoon, everything was in place for the heavy lifting to come.
