2002 Fairhope Show

Thanks to SWARM (South West Alabama Railroad Modelers) for inviting us to the show again this year.

As with previous shows that we have been in, we found ourselves trying to achieve a goal prior to the show.  This time we wanted to complete one of our corner modules with a paper mill scene.  Club members put in some long hours to complete the task, but the results were well worth it.

This year we were granted enough prime "real estate" to set up a 12x16 layout.

Here are some close up shots of our newly completed paper mill module.

A close up of  Glen Hall's newly completed 2x4 straight module. This little guy's name is Walker.  He had enough railfan in him to fill a room.

The Mobile Society of Model Engineers were on hand with their large HO layout. SWARM's lionel layout was a big hit. The Central Alabama Model Railroad Club had a large HO layout and two other scales circling overhead.

In addition to the clubs present, the kids had a hands on train layout to play with, George Nelson had a small layout at "eye level", and the Dogwood Trail Maids were out and about visiting.
