Cab Addresses
CAB ADDRESS NUMBERS:
Many of our members are obtaining their own Cabs and it is becoming essential that we keep a list of assigned cab numbers and have this handy so people can find out which numbers are still available. Here is some information about numbers for various cabs:
- CAB ADDRESSES FOR NCE THROTTLES.
DEFAULT ADDRESSES:
Procabs (wireless) shipped with Cab Address 2
PowerCabs shipped with address 2
Cab04p shipped with addresses of 5
Cab04e shipped with addresses of 5 and 6
- NUMBER RANGE FOR WIRELESS (RADIO) THROTTLES (RECOMMENDED):
ProCabs: 2-17
PowerCabs: 2-17 (automatically remains #2 for home use)
Cab04p, Cab04e must be set to cab addresses in the range of 19-49
Cabs with addresses outside these ranges will not work wireless.
- NUMBER RANGE FOR WIRED THROTTLES (RECOMMENDED):
Valid Addresses - 2 to 63.
- NUMBER RANGE FOR WIRELESS (RADIO) CAB04s (RECOMMENDED)
Valid cab addresses are 2 to 63.
Shipped with the default Cab Address of 5.
Power Cab at Home
Must be only address 2
Extra cab must have cab address 3.
- With this in mind, the following Cab types should have numbers in the ranges indicated:
For radio ProCabs and PowerCabs Cab numbers 2 - 5
For wired ProCabs and PowerCabs Cab numbers 6 - 17
For radio Cab 04s Cab numbers 18 - 50
For wired Cab 04s Cab numbers 51 - 63
- The next list is current (4/2/2007) cab numbers that have already been taken so that people can find unallocated numbers. Note that some are in a restricted range. See if you can do better. There is also a page showing cab address numbers taken and available in the FIELD MANUAL.
