Progress Along the Right-of-Way

Mainlines Extend Towards Elkhorn

The computer problems I was experiencing have now been resolved and these pages are now fully functional again. I hope that visitors will enjoy some of my new pages, links and images.

Things have been pretty quiet on the Pokey over the last few months anyway. Our spring and summer arrived early in Montreal, so work on the house has taken much of my time. I did squeeze in some bench-work construction. I have completed the part which will contain the Atomic Fuel loader on the Dry Fork Branch. This section will be elevated above my workbench, supported by brackets extending out of the wall. Underneath, a narrow plank will carry the mainlines over my workbench towards the staging yard which will be located about ten feet further along the wall.

I have begun work on extending the mainlines out of Iaeger towards Bluefield(staging yard). The mainlines will be going through a large mountain ridge which visually seperates Auville yard from the Elkhorn module. This ridge is made up of a large part salvaged from the infamous Mountain module. This re-usable scenery is the key advantage in utilising styrofoam as the basis for scenery construction on any model railroad. Old sections can be used over and over again, and damaged areas are easily repaired.

The town of Iaeger is nearly complete. I still have some roads to finish, but the bulk of the messy scenery work is finished. Trees are being planted and soon sidewalks, streets and buildings will be ready for details like people, cars, trucks, utility poles, garbage bins, hydrants and mailboxes.

Don't forget to drop in to the gallery page to see some of my modeling work.
