Train Routes

NR2- From Fairview yard to Old Saybrook and Groton

WX1- Yard switcher.

CT1- Departs Worcester Yd to Mollohan Coal supply on the Fresh Pond yard in Queens NY and then back to Worcester Yard. ( Coal is now being loaded from the Port of Providence.)

WXFP-Extra merchandise train departs Worcester Yd. to Fresh Pond Yd.

FPWX-Extra merchandise train departs Fresh Pond Yd. to Worcester Yd.

FPWO- From Fresh Pond yard to Worcester yard with stops at Cedar Hill and Fairview yards.

WOFP- From Worcester yard to Fresh Pond yard with stops at Fairview and Cedar Hill yards.

PR3- From Valley Falls yard to Cranston yard then back to Worcester ( Local switching )

PR2- From Valley Falls yard to Providence and Pawtucket (Local switching)

FP1 - Fresh Pond yard and Bay Ridge local

DAWO From Worcester to Valley Falls yard (setouts) then on to Davisville to interchange cars with Sea View Transportation

WOIP From Worcester to Inland Paper Co. to interchange cars with the plant switcher.

STWB - WB Stone train to Fresh Pond Yard after switching out cars at Tilcon .

STEB - EB MT stone train to Worcester.

Extra- Ethanol unit train to Port of Providence . Not every session.

Currently there are 62 online industries served by the Providence & Worcester Railroad and growing as room becomes available. And there are 26 offline industries served by the Providence & Worcester that are routed though CSX , NY&AR,GRS and NECR as interchange traffic.
