King The Rahway Valley Railroad had a pair of bridges that crossed Orchard Street in Springfield. After the closing of the railroad in 1992 the pair of bridges were soon removed. Today both double-track bridge abutments still remain in place, as evidenced through the photos on this page. This aerial view shows the exact location (arrow) of where the Orchard Street twin bridges were formerly located. The red line denotes the RVRR mainline. Google Maps.
