Springfield Station

Constructed in 1905/6 while the railroad was being extended to Summit, the station was the only railroad passenger depot ever constructed in Springfield, NJ. Serving as a passenger station until just after World War I, the station then became an office for a Freight Agent who was posted here. After the railroad closed in 1992 the station eventually went through a sleu of owners before finally becoming Hecht Family Chiropractic, which it houses today. This aerial view shows the exact location (arrow) of the extant Springfield Station, now Hecht Family Chiropractic Care. The red line denotes the RVRR mainline. Google Maps.
