Railroad Matchcover Collection

Largest on-line railroad matchcover website!

Welcome to the NEW home of my Railroad Match cover web site, now hosted by TrainWeb.org.
This is where you will view a by-gone era of railroad advertising and art work. This site is a work in progress. I currently have approximately 2000+ covers and matchbooks in my collection and there are others out there who even have more.
I don't think anyone really knows how many railroad matchcovers still survive. I do know that there are probably hundreds if not thousands of covers that I don't have!

If you have any covers that I don't have here and would like to sell or trade them
for something that I have extras of please contact me and maybe we can work something out.

If your not interested in parting with the covers that you have maybe you can send me a good scan if you have something that is not shown here and I can add it along with a note stating who's collection it is from.

Click on a railroad name below to view the match cover(s) for that road.
I have posted multiple views including the backs of the covers when there is something there.
I do have covers from all of the roads listed below and as time permits I will scan them and add the links so you can view them.

This is a work in progress when I have available time.

I hope you enjoy viewing them!

Not matchcover related, just a plug for my other railroad website.
I am now offering railroad color prints and enlargements for sale which are great for modeling or just to add to your collection.

You can check the photos that I'm selling at this link.

I also have another new photo site for selling photos (at least for one year). Photos on this site are processed by "Bay Photo". I think Bay Photo does an excellent job printing photos. Black & White photos are much better when they do them compared to my other site on FotoTime!

A lot of the logos and heralds plus most of the railroad fonts that you see on this web site were created by Benn Coifman using his railroad fonts. I highly recommend that you visit his site Railfonts.com and help support his font creations by buying some of the fonts that he has to offer. They are well worth the money! I bought the entire package or as Benn calls it the
"Whole Ball o' Wax".
