1998: Facelift at Hickory Lick
This year I decided to remove the outer reversing loop at Hickory Lick and redesign the track configuration.  I installed a new tunnel with wider curves and modified the bridge to be double tracked.  I moved the passing siding from Laurel Bank to Hickory Lick and over the bridge to Bergoo and added a spur at Hickory Lick.  Finally I reconnected the track that used to go into the reversing loop tunnel onto the main line at Hickory Lick so I could still turn trains around.  The leg of the wye at Spruce was also removed and the roadways were replaced with concrete ones as the sand or clay ones were a constant maintenance headache.

1999: We take a breather
Not a lot of changes were made this year as our little boy Joey was two and required constant attention we did have a lot of fun running trains though.  The only real change made was to remove the crossover at Spruce and make the original loop into a spur for a planned lumber mill.
