Western Maryland GP-7s Class
DS-18
Red, White & Black Paint
Western Maryland purchased 4 GP-7s between May 1954 and June 1957.
These engines were delivered in the steam era fireball paint scheme and
later the black and gold paint scheme and over time all units were repainted
to the red, white, and black scheme. All units had their short hood
chopped down for better visability. Originally numbered 20 to 23
these engines were renumbered as 5632 to 5635 in the Chessie era.
