See a report with photos of a meeting hosted by George Cole at his home on Sunday, October 12, 2008.
A meeting was held on Sunday, 5/18 at Chuck Smith's home. The following report was submitted by Chuck Smith.
Attendees were Roger Delthony, Craig Erickson, Dave Daniels, George Cole and Al Flandro and me. Al brought one of the new Des Plaines C&NW 53’ boxcars as a donation to the club. He is modeling 1963 and the boxcar carries a later (1965 I think) date. Thanks Al! We sat for a few minutes and chatted. Then we went down to the layout and hung out there for a little more than a couple of hours. Craig had never seen some of the stuff I have so I think he enjoyed it. Amazingly everything ran and after an early wreck (my operator error) things went pretty smoothly. We talked about the club layout. Except for one last (?) wiring glitch that Roger is on we think we’re done. There is some concern over whether our arrangement at the mall will survive. However, we’ve corrected some problems up to this point that would have been very difficult to fix without the layout set up. If the mall deal folds we will go back to having members volunteer to keep pairs of modules. I have room for my straights.
I gave a treasurer’s report. I explained for the new guys our concern about much of the money in the bank having been donated by Mrs.Shea as a trailer fund.

2008 has started with the Rochester Area S-Gaugers meeting at our club room to do maintenance on our modular layout located in the Genesee and Ontario MODEL -N- GINEERS N club. The "N" club shares space in their back room with our club. Our combined club room is located at the Medley Centre Mall in Irondequoit, NY. Since the first of the year we have been working on the turnouts and various electrical problems that have appeared in recent exhibits of our modular layout.
