Vulcan 4013/1927 worksplate was fitted to LMS 4-4-0 Class 4 (later class 4P) loco number 900, which was renumbered 40900 after nationalisation (1948). Withdrawn 1956.

195 of these 3-cylinder compounds were built for the LMS between 1924 and 1932, 95 by the railway company and 100 by contractors.
