The topography was now becoming mountainous again.  We were approaching the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountain range.

   

   

   

   

Once the Beech Grove was reopened, I found my spot on the open platform.

   

       

   

Ray Lang announces that the rear platform of Beech Grove will be closing soon as we are near the Cascade Tunnel, a 7.8 mile engineering marvel.
