Southern California Chapter Railway and Locomotive Historical Society
The collection can be viewed while the Los
Angeles County Fair is in progress, during any of our open house days
, or during one of our special events. Please see the Calendar
for
exact dates and times. We will attempt to accommodate out of town
visitors if you contact us in sufficient
time to make special arrangements. However, since we are an entirely
volunteer organization, we may not be able to meet your needs. Both
admission to the train exhibit and parking are free. Please mention
to the parking attendant that you are going to see the exhibit of historical
trains.
By car, take the I-10 Freeway toward Pomona and exit on Fairplex Drive. Follow the signs to the Fairplex. Getting to the historic train display area Enter the Fairplex at Gate 1, which has a guard station. Tell the guard you are going to the historic train exhibit and you will not have to pay for parking on a regular work Sunday. Below are detailed maps. Click on image for a larger, printable version.
Getting to Fairplex via Metrolink Trains When the Fair is running, Metrolink runs special trains right to the Fairplex. Please check their web site for details.
