Six cars plus Carey's RailRod ran today on the RS&N.
The group was able to leave Parkton about 9:30 and head to Red Springs.
We met Hollis at Lumber Bridge where he turned his car and led us on to Red
Springs. We turned at Red Springs and returned to Parkton where we had a great
lunch. After lunch we went back to Lumber Bridge, where Jimmy left the RS&N
car, Robert loaded his car there, and Carey and Earl went back to Parkton.

From Rick...
Linda and I put on this afternoon around 2:30 and rode down to Parkton,
and cut back some of the "closer-in" trees along the way.
We had a snack in Parkton and headed to Red Springs.
We met Jimmy at Lumber Bridge and ran into the siding there to let
him pass with a trailer full of riders!
We strolled along to Red Springs, cutting and chopping as we went.
We cut up the downed tree at the dirt road crossing in minutes.
We left Red Springs and met Jimmy and Tim at the aluminum plant,
we ran around them again and unloaded in Lumber Bridge.
Had a great day to ride, perfect weather, saw two bunnies,
caught one corn snake, lost a pair of safety sunglasses
and watched Linda dance around swatting mosquitoes!
We have got to get busy in cutting the right-of-way back,
it is really close in areas. Any plans for a work day??
Thanks to Rick Tufts for this report.
