Service on the line discontinued in 1984.
Abandonment of the line was authorized on August 29, 1985.
Line purchased by Clark County and leased it to Lewis & Clark Railway for freight operations between Rye Jct and Battle Ground.
The Battle Ground, Yacolt & Chelatchie Prairie Railroad began excursion on the northern end of the line in 2001.
