History:
PNWR began operations in August 1995 under a 20-year lease of SP lines.
BNSF lines acquired under a lease agreement from BNSF in October 1995.
Astoria line purchased from BNSF in June 1997, but line closed east of Wauna by a large slide.
WPRR merged into PNWR on December 1, 2000.
On October 24, 2002, GWI signed a 15-year deal with BNSF to lease former OE line between Salem and Eugene.
