Railfan Pictures of the Week - 2/06/2022

With the pandemic winding down (hopefully), SEPTA has started restoring the system to the service levels it previously operated at, and has gone on a hiring and training spree. Once again the push-pull sets are roaming the lines with new engineers and conductors learning the ropes. For a couple days, a set ran up to Lansdale on training runs. Here on January 18 2022 cab car SPAX 2410 rolls through CP Dale.
Power was ACS-64 SPAX 913.
To assist the engineer to stop the train with enough room to clear the circuit at CP Dale, stakes mark the train lengths at the station for the runner and industrial tracks, and this trainee nailed it.
The regular revenue runs are still only hourly, so plenty of time for the training runs to make station stops if they follow ...
which it does.
The sun returned the next day, and so did the train.
When the train runs turn, there are a few moments where they change ends and raise both pantographs, which explains this photo.
