Railfan Pictures of the Week - 10/09/2022

After decades of revenue service and the last four years on the wash trains, SEPTA's AEM-7's and lone ALP-44 were finally retired and sold for scrap. The winning bidder was located in Morrisville PA, so on May 14 2022, a gray and gloomy day befitting the occasion, SEPTA Extra 52 took the motors on their last trip from Overbrook to oblivion.
Power for the move was SW1200 SPAX 52 and BL15 SPAX 51.

The extra ran up to Morris Interlocking where it shoved back onto the lead to CSAO's Morrisville Yard.
The SEPTA diesels cut away and headed back home, leaving the electrics for CSAO to pick up later in the day.
