SEPTA commenced their annual wash train runs in early November 2023, and since the electrics have been retired, they are back to diesel. Here former NJT Comet I cab car now SPAX 606 leads Wash 1 through North Wales Station on November 8 2023.
The cab car is followed by the flat car that holds the pressure washing and gel application equipment.
SEPTA tank car SPAX 1508 holds all the water needed for the run over the several lines they cover each night.
Power for the run was SW1200 SPAX 52.
After a little discussion about where to put them, they rolled into Lansdale Station on Track 1 to wait to follow the last revenue train of the night.
They were held at CP Land for a little while before continuing north to Doylestown.
But first, a quick stop at Colmar to grab a bite to eat at Wawa. The old sodium vapor lighting gives the photo its funky tint.
