Gallatin, TN Derailment These pictures show the derailment in Gallatin, Tennessee on January 16th, 2005. The CSXT route through Gallatin is a former L & N Line. A good deal of the line’s business is the moving of automobiles. Notice the Chrysler minivans sticking out of car carriers in some of the pictures. It was announced later that a defective coupler was responsible for the front portion of the south-bound freight jumping the tracks. |
