Got the first AF at Christmas 1947, with the link coupling. Every
Christmas we added cars, track, switches, etc. While the AF stuff was
smaller than L, it looked much more real. One day we were going to put it on
a permanent layout in the basement. Never happened! But we did fill the
living room with train. Had tunnels under the Christmas tree. What a
memory!!
