The Santa Fe Transcontinental Terminus National City Depot - Circa 1882


The San Diego Electric Railway Association (SDERA) is pleased to announce they have come to an agreement with the city of National City Community Development Commission to operate the National City Depot as a museum. The current timeline has SDERA beginning operations in mid 2000.

The city of National City is currently restoring the structure to the way it was when it was built in 1881. The restoration activities should conclude the middle of 2000, with a grand opening tentivly scheduled for late 2000.

The National City Depot is located at 922 W. 23rd Street in National City. Conveniently located just 2 blocks west of the Interstate 5 freeway at 24th Street, the Depot sits between 24th and 23rd on Harrison Avenue.
